What is the Doula Resource Boutique?
The Doula Resource Boutique is a welcoming hub created for individuals who are looking to start and expand their career as a Doula. This space is designed for practical learning, meaningful connection, and hands-on support.
Our focus is on training, mentorship, and professional development for Birth and Postpartum Doulas. We bring together new and experienced doulas in a supportive environment that honors lived experience, cultural awareness, and professional care practice.
Doulas receive guidance on scope of practice, New York State Medicaid enrollment, best practices, and documentation.
Available Services
Doula Training
Our birth, postpartum, trainings are culturally inclusive, that includes best practices and aligned with New York State and Medicaid credentialing. Participants gain practical, hands-on skills they can use immediately in real-world settings. The focus is on building confidence, clinical awareness, and responsive care that reflects the communities they serve.
Mentorship
Our structured mentorship that pairs new and developing doulas with experienced professionals for guidance, feedback, and encouragement. Our peer circles create space to share experiences, problem-solve, and debriefing after births, including emotional challenging ones. This encourages a supportive network and provider retention.
Medicaid Enrollment
We provide step-by-step support to help doulas understand the enrollment process and prepare for billing and reimbursement. This includes guidance on required forms, compliance expectations, and documentation practices. By building financial readiness, doulas are better positioned to offer sustainable and accessible care.
Resource Access
Participants gain access to toolkits, learning materials, and curated resources that support ongoing professional growth. We connect doulas to continuing education opportunities and workforce pathways within hospitals, community programs, and partner organizations. This ensures learning and career development continue well beyond initial training.
